One hundred years. Two countries. One dream – to be the architects of our own future. Now in 2018, the Estonians and the Finns celebrate the fulfillment of that dream a century ago. To commemorate this landmark in our joint history, we are thrilled to announce the second part of the FinEst 100 Open!

With 100 years of Finnish independence (1917-2017) coinciding with 100 years of Estonian independence (1918-2018), the Estonian Debating Society and the Aalto Debating Society have undertaken a joint debating tournament, the first half of which took place in the wonderful Helsinki. It is now time for round two, and we are delighted to welcome you all to Tartu, Estonia, for the 24th and 25th March to join in on the celebrations!

Format: British Parliamentary, 5 rounds, 7 minute speeches, break to semi-finals. If the number of novice teams is high enough, there will also be a novice final.
