Tallinn English College Debating Club is pleased to invite you to the 4th annual English College Open tournament which will be held in Tallinn from Friday to Sunday, 23-25 January, 2015. English College Open is one of the oldest World Schools debating tournaments in North Europe and the Baltics. It is organised by the Tallinn English College Debating Club, which is the oldest in Estonia and played an important role in the birth of Estonian Debating Movement.
We are very pleased to announce that this years Chief Adjudicator is Anna England-Kerr from English Speaking Union and Deputy Chief Adjudicator is Kristin Parts from Estonian Debating Society. The Patron of the tournament is the British Ambassador to Estonia, Christopher Holtby.
In addition to the tournament on Saturday and Sunday, we will also have educational workshops on Friday for debaters, and adjudicators/coaches separately. Workshops will be conducted by Anna England-Kerr (CA), Kristin Parts (DCA) and Eva Sule, who was the coach of Team Germany at the World Schools Debating Championships in 2014.
