The Estonian Debating Society will conduct a training seminar for leaders of both British Parliamentary and World Schools debate clubs and coaches in order to prepare for recruiting, beginner retention and participation in competitions. We are open to participation from Estonia and from countries near to us as well. The picturesque little village of Käsmu will be a more than suitable setting for what we hope will be an inspiring event!
The workshops will be lead by experienced Estonian club leaders and coaches along with a foreign expert who is to be announced soon along with a more detailed programme. There will be four 90-minute workshops on Saturday and one on Sunday, each of them will deal with issues that leaders of debate clubs and coaches most commonly encounter. Registration is open and it includes an option to suggest content that would be most useful to you.
We will leave Tallinn bus station at 10am on Saturday the 24th and we will be back by 3pm on Sunday the 25th. Accommodation, meals and transportation will be provided free of charge by EDS. Transportation costs from further away in Estonia and Latvia will be covered as well.
